Events and Launches round-up

We have had a busy term so far with a range of events across our programmes and networks.

At our Growing the Top and Extending Leading Practice programme launch event participants met their group and facilitator and began discussions around areas of challenge in their schools. Inputs from Anne-Marie Canning MBE (The Brilliant Club) discussing social mobility and education, Jonny Hannah (Schroders) on change management and Lucy Preston (ImpactEd) on developing a theory of change for Extending Leading Practice participants brought highly valued stimulus and practical support.

All four Jubilee Networks have successfully launched: Midlands Primary & Secondary and South Central Primary & Secondary and the two Secondary Jubilee Networks carried out their first Meetings at The Elizabethan Academy and Woking High School. This was a great opportunity for participants to learn from host schools and reflect on their own school improvement strategies and begin their leadership development journey with their BTS Spark coaches.

The Olympus Academy Trust hosted Challenge Partners’ Trust Leaders’ Network first trust visit a few weeks ago, and gave a tour de force presentation of the evidence and strategic thinking behind their new Trust School Improvement Strategy. The group started to identify common themes which will be addressed over the year, including SEND, growth and culture.

And finally, our Senior Partners and Hub Managers all came together recently to hear from Michael Stevenson from the OECD, who gave an inspiring talk around Education for Human Flourishing. We also used part of the day to dig into the Four Big Ideas to Lead the system to Excellence and Equity, with the support of Lee Sears from BTS Spark.
