We are delighted to announce that our National Conference this year will be free for all our partner schools and we have already secured some excellent speakers. The virtual event takes place on Thursday 22 April and the theme is Better Futures: Equity, Innovation and Courageous Leadership.
Our keynote speakers include award-winning poet Lemn Sissay who as well as sharing some poetry will talk about the importance of creative expression and bring the voice of some of the most disadvantaged children to the fore, from his own life and work leading a charity for children in care. And former Conservative Education Secretary Justine Greening, who introduced Opportunity Areas, will be joining us to talk about social mobility.
At the heart of the conference are our partner schools who will share excellent practice in six sessions, including on leadership and wellbeing, and there will be plenty of opportunities to come together with other leaders to share ideas and experiences in small group discussions. There are masterclasses too by Lal Chadeesingh of the Behavioral Insights Team, and barrister and author Hashi Mohamed.
