Laura Lewis-Williams

Managing Director
Laura Lewis-Williams joined Challenge Partners in October 2018.
Laura believes passionately that every child has the right to receive and enjoy the benefits of an outstanding education and can go on to succeed no matter what their background. Laura’s career to date has been focused on improving outcomes, in every sense, for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. This passion was ignited by working with teenagers in the Bronx during her summer holidays at university, and led to a ten-year career teaching and leading in inner-city London schools.
In January 2015 Laura joined The Future Leaders Trust as Director of Headship. She led the delivery of key organisational objectives to increase the number of participants achieving headships and executive headships in challenging schools, and maximising their impact on the life chances of disadvantaged children. In November 2016, The Future Leaders Trust merged with Teaching Leaders and became Ambition School Leadership. As a result of the merger Laura became Director of Headship and Executive Programmes and was responsible for building a strong and credible reputation of excellence for the aspiring headship, headship and executive leadership programmes.
Laura’s previous experience includes Deputy Headteacher at Quintin Kynaston School. Laura also qualified as a Chartered Accountant within Corporate Finance at Deloitte.
She holds an MA in Education and International Development from UCL Institute of Education and an MA in Social and Political Sciences from the University of Cambridge. Laura is Chair of Governors at Campsbourne School.
