Alison Beane

Alison was a Senior Partner for Challenge Partners for more than five years, set up our Portsmouth Hub, and is committed to the principles and philosophy of Challenge Partners.  

She was a senior leader and NLE specialising in special education for more than 25 years and a headteacher/executive headteacher for 20 years. Most recently she was CEO and executive headteacher for Solent Academies Trust in Portsmouth, before retiring in 2020.

Alison is Deputy Chair of the Trust Board for Ambitions Academies Trust in Poole that recently won the NGA award for outstanding governance in a multi academy trust. The trust includes primary, secondary and special schools. Alison is a
reviewer for the Challenge Partners Trust review team which she believes, used effectively, can be one of the key drivers for school improvement across an academy trust.

She joined the Board determined to keep children and schools at the heart of all her suggestions or recommendations.
