Trust visit at Futura Learning Partnership

When:        Thursday 21 November 2024

Duration:        All day

We are very excited to invite you to the first of our four Trust Leaders’ Network Trust Visits for 2024-25. The upcoming visit to Futura Learning Partnership based in the Southwest will take place on Thursday 21st November.

This visit will provide you with the opportunity to learn and explore more about the key issue of trust growth, which is something most trusts are exploring or going through. Futura Learning partnership has grown over the years by a combination of schools joining the trust, and the trust merging with other trusts. The latest merger officially commenced in March 2023 and Futura became a single trust running 26 schools, serving 12,000 pupils across five local authority areas and employing 1,500 people (with more growth to come).

Futura is now in discussions with another Trust in the South West which would see another significant increase in the size and coverage of the Trust. Futura will share the process and challenges that have been part of their growth journey including how to ensure the culture , values and ethos of the Trust remains at the heat of the expanded Trust. There will also be the opportunity to discuss how to build the Trust offer to ensure School improvement and people development are of high quality and have impact.

We have also built into the programme an opportunity for colleagues to raise, discuss and share current challenges facing our Trusts. This is a crucial part of our Trusts Leaders’ Network so we can learn from each other and arrange further follow ups. We have added a follow-on discussion from the recent TLN Business Webinar on AI, which raised many questions and indicated that some trusts and schools are far ahead of others in their use of AI.
